ORIC and YES, in collaboration with Gujranwala Business Centre (GBC), hosted the first session of the “Meet the CEO” program, featuring Mr. Ahmad Ikram Loone, Chairman-BoD GBC. Mr. Usman Nawaz Bajwa, Director of GBC, along with leading business leaders of Gujranwala, accompanied Mr. Loone. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Muhammad Anwar Dar , Chairman of GIFT University, Dr. Qaiser Durrani, Dean of ORIC, and Mr. Maaz Zafar, Manager of ORIC. The event provided an excellent opportunity for students and faculty of GIFT University to gain insight into the workings of GBC, their achievements, opportunities for students, and strategies for success. Mr. Ahmad Loone’s captivating presentation was well-received by all the participants.

 

The event also marked a significant milestone for GIFT’s academia-industry relations as an MOU was signed between GIFT University and GBC. The MOU includes collaborative programs such as “Meet the CEO,” the Mavericks Podcast, R&D projects, and GBC Talks. Additionally, Mr. Ahmad Loone inaugurated the newly established Center for Entrepreneurship at GIFT University, where GBC will provide support to young entrepreneurs of GIFT University. Overall, the event was a resounding success in strengthening the academia-industry linkage and setting the stage for impactful future collaborations.
